e-Buses

Patna Smart City Limited will procure 10 electric buses. The aim is to include electric buses as alternate fuel technology vehicles in the fleet of BSRTC which can bring reduction in environmental pollution.

                                       

Patna Darshan

PSCL may procure 1 Electric Bus and operate it for ‘Patna Darshan’ as pilot project. After successful trial run and testing as well as future developments by Government of India, PSCL may decide upon to procure more E-Bus fleet.


Cost of Project

PSCL will procure 10 Electric Buses at an estimated cost of Rs. 10 crore.

PSCL may invite an Expression of interest from interested bus operators willing to procure, operate and maintain the buses.

‘Ladies Special’


Few buses can be operated exclusively for women’s as ‘Ladies Special Service’.

The Trial Run

PSCL may undertake Trial Run of one Electric Bus in real world situation (i.e. with passenger load and regular bus operations per day) for longer time period- at least 6 continuous months, in order to test the technology and its performance under varying temperature effects and passenger load conditions.

  • ·         Less mechanical parts so less maintenance costs
  • ·         Very less O&M expenses per kilometer compared to normal IC engine buses
  • ·         Have longer life span than conventional IC eng
  • ·         Low fuel tariff and fuel costs
  • ·         Higher secondary benefits
