Jan Seva Kendras are the access points for delivery of essential public utility services, social welfare schemes, healthcare, financial, education and agriculture services, apart from host of B2C services to citizens in rural and remote areas of the country. This project is a PAN city proposal which involves building up of Jan Seva Kendras.
The expected outcomes in broad terms are mentioned as below:
a. The citizens should get all the services of the Government that are made available electronically to JAN SEVA KENDRA, during extended periods on Government working days and on certain specified periods on holidays but without any relation to the jurisdiction of a particular office of a department or agency.
b. JSK is to be operated and maintained at a very high degree of focus on quality of service delivery in accordance to the best practices in the industry for Citizen Service. The payments to the Service provider for the services delivered to the citizens will be directly linked to quality of service delivered.
c. It should be possible to strictly enforce JAN SEVA KENDRAS Citizen‟s Charters in respect of quality, efficiency and responsiveness in the provision of services.
The Project
Based on the functional requirements and proposed infrastructure of JSK, a typical G+2 building has been proposed. It is an RCC framed structure with a plot area 780 sq. ft. (30‟ x 26‟). The total built up area of the building is 1530 sq. ft. Bihar building bye laws have been adhered while setting up offsets for the building.
On the ground floor, two counters (5‟ x 5‟) have been proposed while on first floor similar 4 counters are proposed for carrying out various services with a waiting area for customers. The first floor houses supervisor room along with UPS and electric room. In the second floor server room with a lobby for seating has been provided.
However, since this is a typical layout plan the actual layout plan will vary for each site depending on shape and dimensions of the land available.
