Enhancing
the learning environment by upgrading school infrastructure plays key role in
improving the overall wellbeing of pupils. Patna Smart City Limited’s project “Upgradation
of Schools in ABD Area” objective is to ensure
an ambience through investment in school renovation, new furniture, technology
and equipment that hold educational benefits.
Under the project following six government schools in ABD area are
renovated
1.

Rajkiya Kanya Madhya Vidyalay, Taramandal
3.
Rajkiya Prathmik Vidyalay, Kathpul, Mandiri
4.
Primary School, Mandiri
5.
J.D. Balika Uchch Vidyalay, Taramandal
6.
Rajkiya Kanya Madhya Vidyalay, Bankipur
Key
Components of the Project-
- Civil and PHE Works: Renovation of all the classrooms,
corridors and toilets with acrylic exterior paint, distempering of walls,
vitrified and EPDM flooring. Restoration of toilet seats and wiring.
- Security: Installation of CCTVs in adequate
numbers in the school premises to ensure safety and surveillance of students
and staff.
- Playground Upgradation: Refreshing play space with equipment
such as carrom board, climber, horse rider, seesaw, swings etc.
Smart Class Room: One classroom in each of the six schools
would be upgraded into smart class room with interactive touch screen panel,
speakers, furniture, etc
In
addition to these, green boards would be installed in place of regular
blackboards to make learning sessions refreshing and more interactive. Water
coolers, dustbins, first aid boxes and fire extinguisher facilities would be
provided in the schools.
Bihar
State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited is the
implementing agency of the project. The project budget is Rs 4.6 crores.
